On the night of June 28, Ukraine struck two oil refineries in Russia with long-range attacks—in Krasnodar Krai and Yaroslavl region.
Regional authorities reported a fire at the refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban after a Ukrainian drone attack. According to them, one person was killed. No official report was made about the strike on the refinery in Yaroslavl.
Yaroslavl region Governor Mikhail Yevrayev warned overnight of a drone threat in the region and later of a road closure on the exit toward Moscow. The road was soon reopened. Yevrayev said nothing about the consequences of the attack.
