As of last week, Russia had lost about 25% of its gasoline production compared with the same period last year, Reuters reports, citing industry sources.
Average daily production fell to about 765,000 barrels per day.
Exports of Russian oil products by sea in the first half of June fell by 15% compared with the first half of May—to about 3.3 million tons. According to the agency, this is linked to strikes on refineries.
Amid the gasoline shortage, Russia plans to import fuel by sea in June. In addition, the authorities are discussing subsidies intended to help contain price growth.
