Vladimir Putin’s approval rating in Russia fell to 74% in June, down from 79% a month earlier, according to a Levada Center poll conducted on June 23–30.
That is the lowest figure since the start of the war and one of the sharpest monthly declines over that period.
Approval of Vladimir Putin’s Performance
The share of respondents who disapprove of Putin’s performance rose from 15% to 21%. At the same time, the number of those who believe the country is moving in the right direction fell from 61% to 52%.
The decline in ratings comes amid the largest gasoline crisis in Russia’s history, caused by Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries.
