Russian forces launched a large-scale combined strike against Ukraine during the night of May 14, using both missiles and drones. Kyiv was the primary target of the attack, where, according to the latest reports, ten people were killed and more than 30 were injured.

After search-and-rescue operations were completed, the death toll from the strike on the residential building in Kyiv rose to 24 people, including three children. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. According to him, the victims included a 12-year-old girl as well as girls aged 15 and 17.
According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, part of a nine-story residential building collapsed in the capital’s Darnytskyi district. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 18 apartments had been destroyed. Search-and-rescue operations are ongoing at the site.

Falling missile and drone debris was recorded across several districts of the city, including Obolon, Darnytskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi. Disruptions to water supply were reported on Kyiv’s left bank following the attack.
In the Kyiv region, according to the State Emergency Service, seven people were injured. Damage and fires were reported in the Obukhiv, Brovary, Fastiv, Boryspil, and Bila Tserkva districts. Residential buildings, apartments, outbuildings, and vehicles were damaged.

Odesa region also came under attack. Regional governor Oleh Kiper said port infrastructure had been the target of the strike. Two people were injured.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 675 drones and 56 missiles across Ukraine overnight. Ukrainian air defense forces said they had managed to intercept or suppress 652 drones and 41 missiles.
