Israel will not allow 200,000 Lebanese people to return to their homes, the country’s defense minister, Israel Katz, said.
According to him, Israeli troops will remain in the occupied areas of Lebanon for the long term. Katz also said that Lebanese refugees who left these areas after the start of the war will not be allowed to return.
“In the past, in security zones where civilians were present, roadside bombs exploded and soldiers were attacked, and therefore we will not allow this,” Katz said.
