France plans to release the Tagor, a tanker linked to Russia’s “shadow fleet” that was detained in late May.
A court fined the vessel’s captain €1 million. Since the amount has already been paid, the tanker will be released.
Reuters reported the decision, citing France’s Justice Ministry.
Most tankers previously detained by European countries have also later been released.
