The United States exhausted its entire stockpile of the latest Precision Strike Missiles, or PrSM, during the opening stages of combat operations against Iran, according to the American magazine Aviation Week.
“We used up our entire arsenal of PrSM at the start of the war, but new deliveries are already coming in,” said Jimmy Arter, head of transformation for the U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence.
These missiles were used in actual combat for the first time a month ago—during the operation against Iran.
PrSM was developed to replace the ageing ATACMS systems, with the aim of extending range and improving strike accuracy.
