The US House of Representatives has approved a budget resolution providing $70 billion for the work of immigration and border agencies, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Border Patrol.
The measure was backed by 215 members of Congress—all of them Republicans. Democrats did not give the bill a single vote.
Donald Trump had earlier publicly urged Republicans in Congress to unite and support the resolution, which had remained in limbo since February 14 because of a boycott by the Democratic Party.
