The US is buying a large batch of Ukrainian F10 drones from F-Drones, the first company to receive permission to export weapons from Ukraine. F-Drones CEO Stas Khutor said this in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, the order concerns the F10 tactical FPV drone, based on a system Ukrainian forces have used since 2024. For the US, the drone was adapted to meet the requirements of the US Defense Department’s Drone Dominance Program.
Khutor said the Pentagon selected the F10 following a competition in February this year. In the first stage, the US military will use the drones for personnel training, testing, and evaluating their effectiveness.
The US is expected to receive the first batch of 2,000 drones as early as July. All the drones were made in Ukraine.
F-Drones later plans to license the technology and organize F10 assembly in the United States.
According to Khutor, that stage will be made possible by the simplified military-technology export mechanism Ukraine introduced on July 1. It allows not only ready-made drones to be exported, but also Ukrainian technologies and components for localized production in partner countries.
