Member of Parliament Mykola Knyazhytskyi said there have been cases in which criminal groups, acting with police assistance, pose as officers of the Territorial Centers of Recruitment and Social Support (TCC) and extort civilians.

He said such episodes have been recorded in a number of cities, including Dnipro.
“There are cities where gangs of people gather—ordinary criminals. They put on uniforms, go out with the police’s consent, seize people, and shove them into a van. They say, ‘Either you pay us, or we take you to the TCC.’ But this is not the TCC, and the police are doing nothing about it—it is plain banditry. This is happening in many cities; for example, it is happening in Dnipro, and it is known who is behind it. Do we not know about this? The authorities do not care; they make deals with the bandits,” Knyazhytskyi said.
