Sergei Aksyonov, the head of annexed Crimea, reported a Ukrainian drone attack on the locomotive of a Moscow-Simferopol passenger train.
According to him, the assistant driver was killed in the strike and the driver was wounded. Passengers were not injured.
The carrier Grand Service Express announced the suspension of scheduled passenger-train traffic in Crimea. After the drone attack, passengers from all trains that were on the peninsula were evacuated.
Passengers from the Moscow-Simferopol train, as well as two St. Petersburg-Simferopol trains, were sent to Simferopol by bus.
