The UN has recorded a sharp increase in civilian casualties in Ukraine—with the figure rising by 49% in March.
At least 211 civilians were killed over the month, while another 1,206 were injured. In the first nine days of April, 46 deaths and 343 injuries were recorded.
The leading causes of death remain missile strikes, as well as attacks involving long-range and frontline drones.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, more than 15,500 civilians have been killed, according to UN-confirmed data, including 784 children.
