Protests against Benjamin Netanyahu and the military operation in Gaza are intensifying in Israel. On Saturday, according to the Times of Israel, tens of thousands gathered outside his residence in Jerusalem. The rally was organized by relatives of hostages held by Hamas. They accuse the prime minister of gambling with the captives’ lives for "his own political gain."

The column of demonstrators marched from the Chords Bridge at the city’s entrance to Netanyahu’s residence on Azza Street, carrying banners reading "Government of the Shadow of Death" and chanting "Why are they still in Gaza?" Along the way, Ora Rubinstein, aunt of hostage Bar Kupershtein, addressed the crowd: "We are not anarchists, not right-wing, not left-wing—we are families, and our demand is the same: bring all the hostages back immediately," the paper quoted her as saying.
