The Port of Taman in the village of Volna, in the Temryuk District of Russia’s Krasnodar Territory, was struck by Ukrainian forces on the evening of January 21. The regional governor, Veniamin Kondratyev, reported the attack; the BBC also relayed the information, citing him. According to Kondratyev, the targets were port terminals, where a fire broke out: four oil-product storage tanks caught fire. Preliminary reports say two employees of the facility were killed, while several others were injured.
Kondratyev also said that the Krasnodar Territory has come under a large-scale Ukrainian attack for a second consecutive day. The day before, the strike hit the settlement of Novaya Adygea near Krasnodar. According to the regional head, a Russian interceptor missile fell there, resulting in fatalities and injuries.
