President Donald Trump said on Monday that White House chief of staff Susie Wiles has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
Trump disclosed the diagnosis in a post on TruthSocial, noting that Wiles had decided to begin treatment “immediately”.
“She has an outstanding medical team, and the prognosis is excellent! During her treatment she will spend nearly all of her time at the White House, which makes me, as president, very happy!” he wrote.
Trump also described Wiles as “one of my closest and most important advisers”.
“Melania and I are with her all the way, and we look forward to continuing our work with Susie on the many big and wonderful things happening for the good of our country!” the president added.
