On the night of December 31, Russian armed forces struck Odesa, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported.
Residential, logistics, and energy infrastructure came under fire. Several multi-storey apartment buildings were damaged. In one of them, a fire broke out following the strikes and spread to apartments from the second to the sixth floors. The building’s facade on the fifth and sixth floors was partially destroyed.
As of 9:00 a.m., six people were reported injured in Odesa, including three children.
The attack also caused partial power outages across the city. Restoration work is continuing at several critical infrastructure sites.
