On the night of August 19, Russian forces attacked Kremenchuk in the Poltava region, regional military administration head Volodymyr Kohut reported. Strikes hit both the Kremenchuk and Lubny districts, with direct impacts as well as falling debris recorded. Preliminary information indicates no casualties, but administrative buildings of energy-sector enterprises were damaged. In the Lubny district, around 1,500 customers were left without power.

Kremenchuk Mayor Vitalii Maletsky said residents heard "dozens of explosions." According to him, the strikes targeted energy and transport infrastructure facilities. The type of weapon used was not specified, though Kohut had issued an air raid alert shortly before the attack.
