In the early hours of November 8, Russian forces launched a combined drone and missile strike on Ukraine. In Dnipro, a drone hit a nine-storey residential building, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Apartments on the fourth to sixth floors were damaged and a fire broke out.

Rescuers evacuated 28 people, and ten of the injured required medical assistance. In one fifth-floor apartment, they found the body of a woman, the service reported. In total, three people were killed.
According to regional governor Vladyslav Haivanenko, a total of 11 people were injured, six of them hospitalized, including a 13-year-old girl.
The same night, Russian drones targeted Kyiv. The State Emergency Service reported that debris from a downed drone damaged several cars and two buildings, but there were no casualties.
Missile and drone strikes also hit the Poltava region, where energy infrastructure facilities were targeted. In the city of Horishni Plavni, public broadcaster Suspilne reported, electricity, water, and heating supplies were cut off. Ukrainska Pravda wrote that power had also been disrupted in Kremenchuk, where “Points of Invincibility” equipped with generators were set up for residents.
