On the night of April 16, Russia launched massive strikes on several major Ukrainian cities.
In Kyiv, five people were killed, including a 12-year-old girl, and the number of wounded rose to 54—among them two foreign nationals, four ambulance workers and two police officers. The strikes hit the Podilskyi, Obolonskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Desnianskyi districts. In Obolonskyi district, parked cars caught fire, and a warehouse and a store were damaged. In Podilskyi district, the facades of residential buildings were destroyed, two hotels and nearby buildings were damaged; in one building, a strike hit the sixth floor, and 10 people were evacuated. A hit on a children’s playground was also recorded.

In Odesa, nine people were killed and 11 others were injured. Infrastructure facilities and a residential building in the Khadzhybeyskyi district were damaged; the blast wave shattered more than 300 windows across several buildings. Damage was also recorded in one of the parks in the Prymorskyi district.

In Dnipro, two missiles struck dense urban development in the city center, damaging about 10 buildings. Three people were killed and 27 were wounded; 14 of the injured were hospitalized, five of them in serious condition.
