On the morning of January 5, Russian drones struck the Oleina vegetable oil plant in Dnipro. According to eyewitnesses, at least two explosions were heard near the facility.

Witnesses said the attack took place in the morning hours, after which smoke was seen rising over the industrial area. Information about possible damage and casualties is being уточняется.
Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov said that as a result of a drone attack on the American Bunge plant (the company owns the Oleina trademark—editor’s note), around 300 tons of vegetable oil spilled onto the city’s roads. According to him, the aftermath of the incident will make traffic along the Embankment impossible for two to three days.

While rescue teams were clearing the rubble after the first strike, the Oleina plant was hit again.
