The yacht Graceful, which has been linked to Vladimir Putin, is in the port of Severomorsk near Murmansk, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, DK, has found.
The vessel, as well as the warship Voevoda, which escorted the yacht, can be seen in satellite images of the port from July 5.
DK also notes that the Voevoda, which was sailing with its transponder turned off, briefly switched it on about 70 kilometers from Severomorsk.
The Graceful and its escort ships were spotted off the coast of Denmark in late June. At the time, the convoy sent a message saying it was allegedly heading to Istanbul. According to DK, it then proceeded along the coast of Norway into Russian waters.
Experts believe the Graceful, renamed Kosatka after the start of the war, may have been sent to Severomorsk to protect it from Ukrainian drones.
A DK source did not rule out that the yacht needed repairs, but said the drone-protection theory was more likely.
The 82-meter Graceful is considered the second-largest yacht used by the Russian president, after the 140-meter Scheherazade. It had previously been spotted several times in Sochi while Putin was there.
The yacht’s value is estimated at $100 million to $120 million.
