Poland intends to use Ukraine to test its military equipment after trials have been conducted at domestic training grounds, deputy defence minister Cezary Tomczyk said in a comment to PAP.
According to him, Ukraine today represents a “unique testing ground” because of the war and its direct confrontation with a foreign army. Tomczyk stressed that Polish weapons should first be tested inside the country and then—in real battlefield conditions.
“This is a real picture of what works and what does not,” he said.
Against that backdrop, criticism is periodically voiced in Ukraine toward European countries which, in the view of some observers, are buying time to rearm while the Ukrainian army continues the fighting.
