Russia carried out a series of strikes on two Ukrainian cities early Tuesday morning, launching dozens of drones and missiles. According to Ukrainian authorities, the attack left three people dead and at least thirteen others injured.
In Odesa, residential buildings and a maternity hospital in the city center sustained damage, according to Oleg Kiper, head of the regional military administration. The regional prosecutor’s office reported that two people were killed and nine wounded.

The attack came shortly after Moscow launched its largest nighttime drone operation in three years, firing nearly 500 drones across Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian and Western officials had previously anticipated a Kremlin response to the Ukrainian drone strike on Russian airbases carried out on June 1.
