In Nizhny Novgorod, one person was killed in an attack by Ukrainian drones, Governor Gleb Nikitin said. Four others were injured, one of them hospitalized.
According to Nikitin, air-defense forces destroyed 30 drones overnight. Falling debris, he claims, caused “non-critical damage” to one industrial facility and several residential buildings.
Ukrainian Telegram channels write that the target of the attack was Lukoil’s oil refinery in Kstovo, near Nizhny Novgorod, and are publishing footage of a fire.
Lukoil’s website says the refinery in Kstovo is one of Russia’s largest gasoline-profile oil-refining enterprises and produces more than 50 types of commercial petroleum products.
