Netanyahu said Donald Trump had urged him to limit Israel’s response after the Iranian missile attack.

According to the Israeli prime minister, Trump asked him: “Did they kill any of your people?”

Netanyahu said he replied: “I am not prepared to accept a formula under which we respond only if there are fatalities. If they attack Israeli territory, I respond and strike back.”

Commenting on concerns about Israel’s dependence on Washington, Netanyahu told ministers: “We are not subordinate to the Americans; we are their allies.”
