NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, speaking at the Munich Security Conference, recounted a meeting with the Ukrainian dog Patron. According to him, the moment captured Ukraine’s state of mind.
“I looked Patron in the eyes, and he told me that we would never surrender,” Rutte said, adding that the scene reflected the country’s determination to continue resisting.
