Kyiv is under a massive missile attack. The National Preserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” has come under fire: the roof above the Dormition Cathedral, the complex’s main church, is burning. The cathedral is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
This is already the second strike on the Lavra this year—in the night of January 24, a Russian attack damaged the entrance to the Far Caves and the Church of St. Anne’s Conception. At the time, the preserve called it the first direct strike on the site since World War II.
