The U.S. Department of Justice has released previously unpublished materials related to the case of Jeffrey Epstein that contain allegations accusing Donald Trump of attempted sexual assault—according to Reuters, The New York Times, and other leading media outlets.
The documents are FBI records summarizing interviews with a woman whose identity has not been disclosed. She alleges that the sitting U.S. president sexually harassed her in the 1980s, when she was a teenager.
According to her account, the introduction to Trump was arranged by Jeffrey Epstein. The woman said the future president attempted to pressure her into oral sex.
In 2019, FBI agents interviewed the woman four times. However, no criminal case was opened—indicating investigators did not consider her testimony sufficient grounds for prosecution. Contact between the FBI and the woman subsequently ceased.
The White House denies the allegations.
