According to NBC News, Decarlos Brown Jr., accused of killing Ukrainian citizen Iryna Zarutska, could face the death penalty.
A jury found him guilty of committing violent acts against a railroad carrier and a public transit system, which resulted in Zarutska’s death. Jurors concluded that Brown acted intentionally.
Brown had previously committed multiple offenses and suffered from mental disorders, yet he was repeatedly released despite his record.
