Iran attacked a vessel near the Strait of Hormuz using drones, the United Arab Emirates foreign ministry said.
According to the ministry, the target was a tanker linked to ADNOC. Two drones struck the vessel. No casualties were reported, and the extent of the damage remains unclear.
It later emerged that US commanders had authorised their forces to attack Iranian speedboats, missile-launch positions, and other targets blocking the Strait of Hormuz, Axios journalist Barak Ravid reports, citing a source.
