The Houthis said they had launched ballistic missiles at Israel and would continue their operations until attacks on Iran and the armed groups aligned with it—including Hezbollah in Lebanon—come to an end.
The statement, issued on Saturday morning, amounts to the Yemeni movement’s effective entry into the war surrounding Iran—a month-long conflict that has destabilised energy markets and left thousands dead.
Hours earlier, Israel said it had detected a missile launch from Yemeni territory toward its own. The military did not specify whether it had been intercepted.
"Our operations, with God’s help, will continue," the Houthis said in a Telegram statement, "until the aggression against all fronts of resistance comes to an end."
