A trial is set to begin in Germany against 58-year-old Dutch far-right activist Stefan Wijkamp, Bild reports. He is accused of endorsing and glorifying the Nazi regime.
The case stems from public remarks made by Wijkamp. In one interview, he called Adolf Hitler “a genius and a wonder of the world” and declared that “the name of his love for Germany is Adolf Hitler.”
Wijkamp has long been active in far-right movements and regularly appears at their rallies. He gained notoriety in part by styling his appearance after Hitler.
