Russia’s FSB said it had detained a German citizen in the Stavropol region on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack against a law-enforcement facility. The report was carried by Interfax, citing the security service.
According to the agency, the detainee—a woman born in 1969—was acting on instructions from Ukrainian intelligence services. The FSB said an explosive device in her backpack was detected and neutralized by electronic warfare systems as she was near a security agency building in Pyatigorsk.
