Facebook and Instagram users in several countries are experiencing widespread outages, according to Downdetector data for both platforms. Meta owns the two services.
Most complaints concern the Facebook website and the Instagram app being unavailable. Problems have been reported by users in the United States, Argentina, India, Singapore and several European countries.
Users in Russia are also reporting problems with Instagram.
Meta and representatives of the two social networks have yet to comment on the disruption.
