American actor Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86. He was hospitalized in Hawaii on March 19. The following day, March 20, his family released a statement saying that the actor had died that morning.
According to preliminary reports, he fell ill during a karate training session.
“While we would like to keep the circumstances of his death private, we ask that it be noted that he passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones,” the statement said.
Chuck Norris was a martial artist who gained wide recognition through leading roles in action films directed by his brother, Aaron Norris. He is best known for portraying Cordell Walker in the television series “Walker, Texas Ranger.”
