On the morning of September 8, a new Banksy artwork appeared on the façade of the Royal Courts of Justice in London. The artist confirmed authorship in his usual way—by posting a photo of the piece on Instagram without further comment.
The graffiti depicts a judge in traditional robes raising a gavel over a protester lying on the ground with a placard in hand.
As reported by British media, including BBC News, the image was quickly covered with plastic sheets, fenced off with metal barriers, and placed under guard.

The appearance of the artwork coincided with protests in London: just two days earlier, police had detained 890 people at a rally against the ban on the group Palestine Action.

Banksy’s previous Instagram post dates back to May 2025, when the artist shared an image of a lighthouse. In the comments on that work, users repeatedly asked when he would respond to the events in Gaza.
